Wayne Township announced that Paige Thoreson of Bartlett was appointed to the board of trustees on March 2. The board looks forward to Thoreson providing a fresh and innovating perspective to the Wayne Township Board. Thoreson grew up in Elmhurst where she graduated from York High School with the class of 2009. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Community Health Education from Illinois State University, where she was also a member of the sorority, Chi Omega. As part of her degree program, she completed an internship at the American Red Cross as a Disaster Preparedness Intern which had her providing educational services related to weather and fire safety to the local communities in McLean County.
